This modular-home kitchen combines IKEA METOD cabinet frames with Amadlo Enkel natural oak fronts. Developed as part of a modular-house collaboration for Northern Europe, it shows how a simple cabinet system and a warm wood finish can work together in a compact interior.

Why Enkel suits this design
Enkel is a plain front with separate handles. Its uncluttered surface lets the oak grain become the main detail, while the handle choice can change the look and feel of the same door. In a modular home, repeating the finish across doors, drawer fronts and suitable visible panels helps the kitchen read as one composition.

Plan the front layout around the METOD cabinets
Start with the actual cabinet plan and list each door and drawer front. Check tall-unit divisions, integrated-appliance fronts and clearance around doors and handles. A photograph cannot establish your room dimensions or the exact parts required.
Record cover panels, fillers and plinths separately. Confirm which parts, handles and hardware are included in your quotation. Choosing Amadlo fronts does not by itself specify the supply of IKEA frames, appliances, worktops or installation.
Compare the oak finish with a sample
Natural wood varies in grain and tone. Discuss the desired grain direction and how adjacent panels should relate before production. Ask about an Enkel finish sample and compare it with the flooring, walls and worktop under the lighting in your home.
For routine care, follow the instructions for the selected finish and wipe spills promptly. Sample selection and correct care are more useful than assuming all oak finishes behave identically.
